Lumion is expanding, and we're on the lookout for a new team member to join our finance team. We're specifically seeking a Data Scientist – a motivated candidate at the start of his/her career, who can contribute to driving performance insights in our fast-growing organization. In this role, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining prescriptive data models that support key decision-making processes. You'll report directly to the Director of Finance & Control, playing a pivotal part in achieving our financial ambitions.

Your role:

• Develop and maintain predominantly prescriptive data models.

• Perform specific analyses to support management decision making.

• Drive data automation in combination with self-service analytics to engage stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to better utilize available data to create better insights.

• Participate in different projects to help optimize and automate data processing and reporting.

What you bring to the table:

• A Master's degree in Economics, Business Management, Econometrics, or a related field.

• 1-3 years of work experience in a comparable role, or a minimum of 1 year in a qualified internship.

• A proven track record in developing data models, with expertise in the latest modeling tools like Python.

• The ability to translate complex information into a structured and comprehensive format.

• Proficiency in Excel modeling and experience with various business information tools.

• Effective communication skills at all levels within the organization.

• A self-starter attitude with a proactive and hands-on mentality.

• A demonstrated passion for data, coupled with a keen eye for detail.

• The ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.

• Curiosity and enthusiasm, unafraid to ask questions for continuous improvement.

• Fluent in English (proficiency in Dutch is not mandatory but strongly desired).
