Technical Artist

Lumion is looking for a talented and experienced Technical Artist / 3D Generalist with a strong technical background to become an integral part of our Lumion Library team.

Your role will be focused on refining and optimizing our existing 3D models for integration into our content library, which is essential for elevating our software. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, collaborating with a group of talented artists and contributing to our team sprints.

This position offers an opportunity to leverage your expertise and experience while making a substantial impact in the field of architectural visualization.

Your role:

  • Help develop technical strategies to optimize the overall content development workflow.

  • Develop and refine scalable processes for the optimization of 3D assets, leveraging tools such as Houdini or similar software.

  • Collaborate with the Lumion Library team on integrating optimized models, contributing to elevating and enhancing our user experience.

  • Participate in team sprints, offering expertise and insights into the (procedural) model optimization process.

What you bring to the table:

  • A proven track record in 3D modeling, preferably within architectural visualization, game development, or similar industries.

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software and scripting tools, with a preference for Houdini or equivalent technologies.

  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.

  • Experience working in agile project environments, with a collaborative approach to problem solving.

  • Passion for 3D modeling and optimization, with a continuous drive to improve and facilitate processes and outcomes.

  • Eagerness to stay ahead of the curve with the latest technologies and methodologies in 3D optimization.

Must be based in the European Union, with flexibility for remote or in-office work.
